Counseling for Teens
It’s tough to be a teenager – differentiating oneself from the family, navigating social relationships and pressures, self-esteem and body image, academic pressure. Stressors such as a move, divorce, conflict, abuse or trauma add to all this. I work with teens and their families that are struggling to understand and communicate with one another. I use age appropriate, creative and expressive methods to give teens an outlet to process feelings, fears, hopes and dreams. As a result, they have greater self-understanding and feel more securely adjusted at home, at school and with their peers.
