Lindsey Shafto, MSW, LSWAIC

Associate Therapist

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Associate (LSWAIC) with six years of experience in non-profit therapy, private practice, and school settings. My passion for working with children and their families has driven my professional journey toward nurturing lasting growth and transformative change.

As a play therapist, I find immense joy and inspiration in observing children’s inner strength and creativity. Seeing how they naturally process and organize their world through play and art materials is remarkable. In the play therapy room, I create an environment that nurtures resilience and healing by following child-led, trauma-informed, and attachment-based principles. By building connections, I lay the foundation for the healing process. Witnessing children’s innate ability to make sense of their world through play and art inspires me.

I aim to provide a safe and accepting environment where clients can confidently embark on their personal growth journeys. Building strong therapeutic relationships is my cornerstone, understanding that transformative change is intricately linked to the strength of these connections. My background in various settings, including elementary, middle, and high schools, non-profit therapy, private practice, and childcare, enhances my ability to support children in learning new ways to communicate, process, and cope through the healing power of play.
