Kelli Smith, BA, MFT Candidate

Intern Therapist

I am a Marriage and Family Therapy Graduate Student at Antioch University. I enjoy working with kids and teens, and all members of their families. I believe feeling seen, heard, and affirmed is the catalyst to processing emotions and forming secure relationships. I approach my therapeutic work through attachment-based, neuro-affirming, and trauma-informed lenses to help me provide care that best fits my clients.

I am passionate about how play can help children and their families process emotions, work through changes, heal from traumatic experiences and dream up new and daring ways to be in the world. Play creates an ideal environment for growth by allowing children to engage their whole brains while feeling safe and relaxed. In sessions, I bring authentic presence and prioritize connection and safety in the relationship. My goal is to help children develop into secure, resilient individuals who know themselves deeply, and empower their families to support them.
